Because you value the protection of your privacy, Plume Rouge is committed to processing your Personal Data respectfully and in a proportionate manner.

This policy (Policy) serves to notify you of the way we process your Personal Data and of your rights. It contains the following information:

1. Scope

This Policy sets forth the way we process information that may identify you, whether directly or indirectly (Personal Data), as well as the rights you have, particularly when using the website www.plume-rouge.be (Website).

This Policy is up to date as of the date listed above. It may be amended, so we encourage you to check its content regularly. You will be notified, or express mention will be made on the homepage of the Website, in the event that any substantial change is made to the Policy.

Concepts such as “processing,” “data controller,” “subcontractor,” “data subject,” “personal data,” etc. have the meaning assigned by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation [EU] 2016/679 adopted 14 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data).

2. Data Controller 

The data controller for your Personal Data is Plume Rouge, a company operated as a sole proprietorship by Ms. Emeline Jamoul, established at Avenue Louise 54 in 1050 Ixelles,
Belgium, registered with the Banque-Carrefour des Entreprises [central business registry] under number (Plume Rouge or us).

3. Purposes of Processing

Your Personal Data are processed for specific purposes, which vary depending on the type of relationship that Plume Rouge has with you.

In order to allow us to provide our services, you must provide certain Personal Data that are necessary for their execution:

  • as a client of Plume Rouge, Personal Data allow us to contact you and provide our services  to you;

  • if you are a supplier, we require some Personal Data about you in order to manage our contractual relationship with you.

Plume Rouge processes your data solely for the following purposes:

  • if you are a client of Plume Rouge:

    • to communicate with you ;

    • to carry out the assignment that you have entrusted to us;

    • to keep you informed of Plume Rouge’s business development.

  • If you are a supplier:

    • to communicate with you;

    • to manage our supplier relationship;

    • to draw up, execute, and end our product and/or service provision contracts.

 4. Legal Basis for Processing

The processing of your Personal Data by Plume Rouge is based on the following legal grounds:
a. Our Contract with You

In most cases, we process your personal data as necessary to execute our contract with you, that is, in order to provide our services to you.

We collect only the data necessary to carry out services, that is, those data which allow us to communicate with you and to ensure provision of the requested services. 

b. Our Legitimate Interest 

In some cases, we may process your Personal Data because we have a legitimate interest in doing so. 

This is the case, in particular, when we process your Personal Data in order to communicate with you or to provide general information to you about our services. In that context, our legitimate interest shall consist of the pursuit and development of our business activity. This premise also covers “direct marketing,” that is, the use of your email address to send you communications about our business, because you have already been our client. You always have the option to decline to receive such communications (see Article 7).


c. Your Consent

In some cases, you may expressly consent to the processing of your personal data: for example, when you sign up only to receive our newsletter without registering on the Website. When you have given your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.


5. Categories of Personal Data Processed by Plume Rouge  

The categories of your Personal Data that Plume Rouge processes vary depending upon the type of relationship that Plume Rouge has with you.

Clients

  • Contact information (full name, address, telephone number, and email)

  • Information regarding the Plume Rouge services that you use

  • Financial information (history of services provided) 

  • Any personal data appearing in the content that you send us in the context of requested services (in particular, translation and revision) 

Suppliers

  • Contact information (full name, address, telephone number, fax number, and email)

  • Personal information (company, title/position, department, website)

  • Financial and banking information (account number, credit history, and other financial information)

  • Information that allows us to receive your products or services

 

Your Personal Data are always provided by you when you contact us in order to use our services.

6. Recipients of Personal Data and Guarantee in the Event of Transfer to Third-Party Countries

In order to fulfill the purposes described in Article 3, we may transmit your data to third parties (the “recipients”):

  • External service providers, notably providers of IT and hosting services ;

  • Subcontractors that we employ for the sole purpose of carrying out certain specific assignments (in particular, translation and revision in certain languages) or urgent assignments, in the context of providing requested services.

Your Personal Data will be stored in Belgium or in another country in the European Economic Area. 

Your Personal Data will not be transmitted to business partners for purposes of commercial solicitation.

7. Confidentiality 

Plume Rouge will treat as confidential any and all Personal Data or other information about you, the Client, or provided by you with a view to the preparation and execution of the assignment entrusted to Plume Rouge. This includes information about you and your company as well as the information that you send to Plume Rouge with a view to our provision of services (and in particular the translation or revision of that content). 

Plume Rouge undertakes to ensure that its representatives and any subcontractors are also bound by a similar obligation.


8. Personal Data Storage Period

We will store your Personal Data for a period of time not to exceed the time necessary to fulfill all purposes for which they were collected. 

9. Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data

You have the following rights regarding your Personal Data that we process:

a. Right of Access 

You have the right to know whether or not Plume Rouge processes your Personal Data and, when that is the case, to access them and to obtain information about their processing.


b. Right to Rectification 

You have the right to have your Personal Data rectified if they are inaccurate, or to have them completed if they are incomplete.


c. Right to Erasure 

You have the right to request the erasure of your Personal Data when there is no longer a reason to process them.


d. Right to Restriction of Processing 

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your Personal Data, in which case we may only store that Personal Data, excluding all other forms of processing 


e. Right to Object 

You have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data. When your Personal Data are processed for purposes of direct marketing, you have the right to object to their processing in all circumstances.


f. Right to Withdraw Consent 

When you have given your consent to the processing of your Personal Data, you have the right to withdraw it at any time, without prejudice to the legality of the processing based on the consent given prior to its withdrawal.


g. Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Data Protection Authority
